The weather is starting to change. The leaves are going to start changing color and new smells will be filling the air. It is a beautiful time of year with seemingly perfect weather and beautiful scenery everywhere you look. A few hours of what only seems like minutes of sunlight a day.. Well here to start your season off properly we found a place that dreams are made of. This place is a small slice of heaven in the Maldives that is easily one of the coolest looking spots to get away from it all and relax.
Cocoa Island Resort, Maldives.
There are 36 “Boat Rooms” that make up the Cocoa Island Resort in the Maldives.
The resort is fully equipped with what you would find at a normal resort. There is a bar, a gym, internet, spa, restaurants and a swimming pool. That is if you don’t want to jump off of your boat room into the Indian Ocean!
The stunning rooms are set out above the ocean giving you the feeling that you are truly floating in the ocean. The rooms are secure so no motion sickness will ensue but it must be a feeling that is quite unique and tranquil.
There are two walkways that venture out into the ocean connecting all the rooms.
The views are second to none when it comes to the vast ocean. The water looks so perfect. These pictures are making me want to jump in the warm Indian Ocean and relax for the day.
The island is tiny. Just enough to house what the hotel needs. There are more buildings out in the water than on the island itself.
They have rooms that will accommodate more people as well.
Talk about a perfect view.
The simplicity is a big part of the charm with this hotel in paradise.
There are many islands in the Maldives and this resort is about a 30 minute boat ride from the Male Airport.
Each room has a private balcony that leads to the bathtub warm water.
The rooms themselves are absolutely beautiful inside.
These rooms are very nice inside. You wouldn’t expect to see that when you saw an old boat from the outside.
If you do decide to leave your room to get out and about there are speed boats that will pick you up and bring you to one of the many nearby islands. If that isn’t your cup of tea just take a look at the surrounding beaches on the island itself and consider a margarita and a relaxing day in the sand in paradise. I would never want to leave this beautiful little island in the Maldives.
