Childhood Sweethearts Die In Each Others’ Arms Hours Apart After 75 Years Of Marriage

In a world where making it through the 7th year of marriage is very difficult, it’s touching to see a story of a couple that made it to their 75th wedding anniversary before passing away in each other’s arms.  Jeanette and Alexander Loczko have been together since they were 8 years old.  He even carried around a picture of her in her holy communion dress in his wallet. They were married June 29, 1940 and have never wanted to be apart. They even told their children that when they died they wanted to be in each other’s arms, holding hands and on just a few days shy of June 29, 2015 that is exactly what happened, exactly 75 years after they said their vows to each other.

Aimee said when she let her mother know her father had passed, her mother said, “This is what you wanted. You died in my arms and I love you. I love you and I’ll be there soon,” and she fulfilled that promise when she passed away less than 24 hours after her beloved Alexander.

Here is a story showing their love for each other and their story.

I have only been married to my wonderful husband for less than 5 years but it is my most fervent hope that we can have as wonderful a life together as these two have had. I know we won’t be married for as many years since we didn’t marry as young as the Ioczko’s did; we would have to live until we are 115+ years old and I’m not sure I want to live that long. However, with hope, love, and determination our marriage will be as full as theirs and we will be together until the very end as they were. This is such a beautiful testimony that love can last a lifetime and that life can be beautiful!
