I love dogs, I do. But, they can be pretty dumb sometimes. I feel qualified to make this statement because I worked in the veterinary field for over a decade and I have helped save the lives of dogs that have done some extremely dumb things, which mostly involved eating things they shouldn’t like rocks, nails, quarters, underwear etc… Despite the possibility of having an expensive surgery as a result of their dumb life choices, they can be extremely entertaining! Here are 22 dogs that probably regret the predicaments they put themselves in, but their owners must have thought it was funny enough to take pictures before rescuing their not so smart pooches!
I’m confident this little puppy thought he had an awesome idea! He would press against the tarp and the fence to climb up and over… And then he got stuck and instantly regretted this awesome idea.
Now this little corgie dog just wanted to get closer to see where his owner went. I’m sure he didn’t consider his short little legs and long body would make it hard to turn around. Now he’s just hoping his owner comes back soon to help him down.
Poor retriever trusted his owner a little too much. All he was thinking about was catching that Frisbee. Why couldn’t his owner avoid throwing it at the tree forcing him to smack into it as well?
This poor little puppy regrets eating that bee. But next time he’ll get it without getting stung!
This cut little puppy saw his owners swinging and it looked like so much fun! But it turns out it’s not as much fun as he thought it might be.
How are you supposed to grow up to be a big tough dog if you sleep on a soft bed? This dog isn’t as dumb as he might appear. If a soft bed can make you soft then it only makes sense that sleeping on weights will make you tough!
I was not aware that was how dishwashers work. I’ve never seen what happens because we always wash the dishes with the door closed.
Now this curious pooch was lucky the dog on the other side of the fence was friendly. That could have been BAD!
This sweet little visla probably saw his owner relaxing on the hammock and thought to do the same… Don’t worry little dog. It’s hard for everyone to get out, not just dogs.
If only this pup wasn’t afraid of heights!
The thing is, your eyes are on your head and your head can fit through, so it is easy to assume the rest of you should be able to fit. But you would assume wrong.
No need for a doggy door if you have a dumb dog with a big stick!
It’s the only way they have found to dry the slobber from the jowls on this boxer!
A bath sounded awesome until he realized it involved touching water. Not gonna do it!
The stool is the perfect height to hold up this boxer without it having to lay down. It makes getting up so much easier. So it’s actually pretty smart. Unless it’s stuck. Then it’s not really smart at all.
It’s a known fact that dachshunds like to burrow. However this dog chose a blanket that kept getting smaller and smaller towards the exit.
He just wanted his ball to be clean! But he is making his drinking water dirty!
To be fair this Akita used to be smaller and was probably able to fit back there once upon a time, he probably got so excited following the person with a camera he forgot he grew up.
This yellow lab just wanted to be Rainbow Bright’s dog!
When your legs are shorter than the average dog’s legs it’s probably not a good idea to try and cross a river.
Next time this husky tries to jump over the tree branch he should probably try it without a leash on…
And last but not least this is my dog Jeffery, an Irish wolfhound that is slower than them all. My step-son who was 8 years old at the time set up a snare to trap a bunny using our tree in the backyard. It was pretty much just a red leash hanging off the tree. I actually told my husband it would be a miracle if they caught anything with it, then low and behold, later that day I heard this big goofball crying in the backyard and found him like this. The leash was around his chest and he didn’t know how to step over it. In Jeff’s defense, he was only 8 months old, but still…
