Artist Suren Manvelyan was born in Armenia in 1976 and began taking an interest in photography when he was just 16 years old. His passion is typically focused around eyes, extreme close-ups, also known as macro photography, of different eyes from humans to even close-ups of animal eyes. Suren’s photos have been published in numerous magazines and newspapers in Armenia and worldwide.
He calls this series “Your Beautiful Eyes”
They were published by National Geographic, Yahoo!, Die Zeit, The Sun, Daily Mail, The Independent, Telegraph, La Republica, Liberation, Guardian, Wired, Huffington Post, Wedemain, The Shortlist, DT Magazine, MAXIM, and many others.
And they are simply fascinating to look at.
I had no idea that my eyes had so much detail and variation until i looked closely at this macro photography. Staring into a picture of someone else’s eye is pretty weird. They’re looking straight back at me but they have no idea. I’m staring deep into their eyes and they have no idea.
