New relationships are always fun. Getting to know each other, going out and doing things together creating new adventures. It’s such a good feeling meeting someone who you enjoy spending all your time with. Problems start to arise however when you begin neglecting other people who care about you. Well apparently that is how some of this guy’s friends felt. Meet 20-year-old Keiran Cable from South Wales. He and his girlfriend Jess Ferguson started dating about 18 months ago, and they are as happy as can be. They enjoy spending time together and seem to be an extremely cute couple. Though everything was going great in Keiran’s relationship, the other people who cared about him in his life weren’t so excited about the amount of time he was spending with his new girlfriend. Check out the hilarious prank these guys pulled on their friend to let him know how much he is missed and so they could mourn the “death” of their beloved friend.
This is Keiran and his girlfriend Jessica. These two look like a very happy couple.
They have been dating for about 18 months. Which is quite a long time for kids their age. Keiran is 20 and Jessica is 19.
These are Keiran’s friends. They say that since he started dating his girlfriend, he never returns texts or calls. He pretty much acts like he is dead. There is a code among guys that you don’t abandon your friends for your girlfriend.
I’ve gotta say, I can’t really blame the guy.
One day while his friends were at the pub, they started saying “RIP Keiran” because they hadn’t seen him in so long. They then decided that if he was going to pretend he was dead and not hang out with them anymore, that they would throw him a funeral!
A friend of Keirans, Shaun Bundy organized most of the event. He even spent the whole day Friday and Saturday making a coffin for this elaborate joke.
Keiran showed up at the local pub to watch a rugby match. Or so he thought. Instead he was greeted by 50 of his friends. Everyone was dressed up as if for a funeral, Keiran’s funeral to be exact.
They got Keiran into the coffin and loaded it into a hearse. They really went all out to make this prank as epic as possible.
Another of Keiran’s friends, Daniel Bundock was the priest who presided over the funeral. Keiran’s friends even created a funeral program for the event. “Keiran has had a tough 18 months trying to keep his friendship with his friends alive but sadly the wait is now over and has floated up to the gates of heaven. What hurts the most is that we were starved of precious time to say out last goodbyes after his relationship status was changed from ‘Single’ to ‘in a Relationship. It is now time for us to finally say our last goodbyes by raising a glass for our friend Keiran”, is just part of the eulogy delivered by Daniel.
The friends made Keiran lay in the coffin while they drove him to every pub in their town. “I borrowed a funeral car and we drove the coffin from pub to pub, with the vicar in front and all of the boys in procession behind it. The roads were completely closed off, it was epic.”
Keiran took the prank in stride and was very grateful for his friends and the effort they put into letting him know he was missed. “I was in complete shock and didn’t know what to do or say. My cheeks were aching from smiling so much. The boys made a massive effort and it was definitely a day to remember. I’m sure my girlfriend will be fine about it.” Jess said she was completely fine with the prank. She added that while Keiran and her are very happy together, he is able to go out with his friends whenever he wants.
When you have a cool girlfriend who lets you be you and go out with your friends without any questions, sometimes it makes you want to spend even more time with her. Jess seems like a very understanding girlfriend, and really as a guy that is all you can ask for. Keiran must realize now that he has some pretty good friends as well. I would be really honored if my friends went to this kind of trouble to let me know they still cared about me.
