What do you do when you want to travel around Africa, but you need some place to live? You turn your Jeep Wrangler into the ultimate full on adventure vehicle. That’s exactly what this guy did, and he hasn’t regretted a single moment of it. He took a stock Jeep Wrangler and made some awesome modifications, and now he is roaming the plains of Africa and enjoying every minute of it. Check out this awesome adventure Jeep, and tell me you don’t want one.
This is the Jeep the owner start with. It’s a nice Wrangler for sure, but it definitely isn’t an “adventure” vehicle.
They started out by making some roll bar modifications.
Well, they weren’t modifications as much as it was a whole new roll bar. Upgrading the strength was crucial for another part of the build.
After frame modifications were complete, they set out to create storage inside the back of the Jeep. The metal frames mark out where the storage cabinets will go.
They custom-made cabinets and screwed them to the floor.
You’ll definitely need a lot of storage if you plan on traveling through Africa.
Instead of a normal roof, they added one that doubles as a pop up tent!
When the tent is closed it is about the same height as the stock roof.
When popped open, the tent provides a loft of sorts, creating a sleeping area up top.
It also provides room for more storage.
A lift was also added, because you can’t roam around Africa sitting at stock height!
A heavy-duty brush guard and winch were added to the front, in case any unfortunate situations arise.
A snorkel is a must on any adventure vehicle, especially a Jeep.
This spare tire mount also doubles as a fuel can! I would love to have one of these.
He even has a storage area on his rear door for all of his cooking utensils.
This thing is definitely ready for anything this guy throws at it.
Having a vehicle that could go almost anywhere like this would be the absolute peak of freedom.
Being able to simply pop open your roof and fall asleep under the stars would be amazing. Especially in locations like this!
This is a camping setup that would be extremely hard to beat.
Exploring Africa in something like this would be the experience of a lifetime. Personally I probably would have added some sort of cage just in case any wildlife got a little to curious. There is no adventure and almost no terrain you couldn’t tackle with an adventure Jeep like this. This has gotten me excited for what I can hopefully do to mine in the future!
