If you were walking along the beach with your wife, enjoying a beautiful sunset with your toes in the sand and the bubbles in the water tickling your toes and ankles, life would be pretty stress free, right? That sounds like a perfect evening to me but to one couple, what they were expecting is exactly the opposite of what actually happened. They were walking in the surf of Oregon’s Seal Rock beach when they came across a large shadow in the shallow water. As they approached, they noticed a shark who was stranded on shore. As they drew closer, a couple approached them and said they had found the shark like this and tried to push it back into the ocean. After two failed attempts the couple left the shark alone for safety reasons. This is absolutely insane to think of after watching this video of a diver who was attacked by a shark. Well the guy who came across this shark with his wife wasn’t so easily deterred. After assessing the situation he took matters into his own hands, literally. Take a look as the drama of what should have been a stress free evening unfolds.
Here is the shark as they found it. Roughly 3 feet long weighing around 45 pounds.
Another couple had tried to scare the shark back into the ocean twice but the shark kept making its way back up to the beach.
This guy and his wife felt the need to rescue this helpless and stranded shark so they took things into their own hands.
He kept the shark in the water as long as he could. He could tell the shark was fine as it would thrash about a little bit.
With one big HEAVE and a HO he tossed the shark back into the deep blue sea.
He stuck around for a while and combed the beach to see if the shark would swim back up to the beach. After a few hours when no sharks had appeared on land, he knew his job was done and there was one happy shark swimming in the sea devouring smaller sea creatures. He was no shark handler nor an expert on marine biology however, he knew that he had to do something. If he called authorities, the shark would have likely died due to the remote location they were in. While he may have been able to handle the situation differently, the shark was saved and back in the ocean. On top of that, he received some pretty awesome pictures out of the deal.
