Two brothers were walking down a long railroad track that they often explore near their home. They usually just take in the outdoor scenery and enjoy long conversations with each other on their walks. They know the times that the trains run and when it is safe to walk on the tracks. They also know when it’s a good time to sit by and watch the huge locomotives pass by. Well these two brothers were in for a surprise on this walk down the tracks. They saw what looked like a black stone in between the rails and had to take a closer look. What they saw broke their hearts and they knew that they had to do something about this situation very quickly.

The brothers came across a very large snapping turtle that had wedged itself between the train tracks. They could tell that every time the turtle struggled, it became more and more stuck in between the tracks.

They tried to remove the snapping turtle but it was obvious that this guy was completely stuck.

It was time to call in the reinforcements.

They contacted their local animal control professionals who arrived very quickly. They had no choice because the train was scheduled to pass these tracks in less than an hour.

With a little elbow grease, the snapping turtle was free from any harm and inevitable starvation.

Free at last! Now swim free and snap lots of things you cute little snapping turtle. Try your best to avoid the train tracks. That’s no place for a turtle anyhow.

These boys could have just left this turtle alone or possibly not have even noticed it. I mean it completely blends in with its surroundings and looks like a rock. Well now this little turtle can continue its life in the wild thanks to these two brothers.
