A small park in Utah was turned upside down recently. It all started when an old man reported his car stolen. The car was spotted by police shortly after when they realized that it was the man’s grandson who stole the car. Police started to pursue the teenager when he headed straight towards a public park. There were kids all over the place enjoying the day and playing in the park. The threat was immediate and real as the sports car darted towards a group of kids. Police were in hot pursuit as the car careened through the public park. What happened next was absolutely terrifying.
One kid who was playing in the park immediately took out his phone and started recording the pursuit.
The teen who stole the car had no care for the lives of the kids playing at the park. You can see just how close he came to them.
He tore through the park just as police called off the pursuit. They knew the situation became too dangerous when the teen decided to speed through a park towards children.
As he raced through the park one parent became infuriated and jumped in their truck. The truck driver was ready to protect his kids who were playing in that park at all costs.
As he saw the teen turning around to head back to the park he hit the gas right towards the teen. The teen who stole the car had no way to get around the truck and collided right into the front of it. Check out the video below.
The police were right behind both drivers and quickly apprehended the suspect.
This brave truck driver prevented the reckless teen from heading back to the park where innocent children would be directly in harm’s way.
Here is the damage to the truck and the damage to the car.
Take a look at the video below of the heroic driver who stopped the stolen car before anyone was injured by the kid’s reckless actions.
If it weren’t for the man driving the truck who made a brave and quick decision to put himself into harms way to protect the children playing in the park who knows what would have happened. Someone may have been injured or even worse. The police never recommend you get in the way of danger like this driver did however the happy outcome may have been different if he hadn’t.
